As a mom, I am constantly juggling a million things. I'm taking care of my kids, my house, my career, and my social life. It's no I'm feeling stressed and overwhelmed.
But there is something that can help cope with all of this stress and anxiety: mindfulness.

Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention to the present moment, without judgment. It's about being aware of your thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations, and letting them go without reacting to them. It's about not thinking about the past, not worrying about the future, not even the next two minutes. It's about staying focused on the present day and the exact moment you are in. It sounds like a lot, but it's really all about understanding mind over matter.
When you're mindful, you're not only paying attention to your thoughts and feelings, but you're also paying attention to your body. You're aware of your posture, your breathing, and your physical sensations. You're also aware of your surroundings, the sights, sounds, and smells that are present in the moment. Helps to calm yourself and bring down any anxiety.
When you're mindful, you're not judging yourself or your experiences. You're simply observing them without reacting to them. It can be hard at first but, when you're able to observe your thoughts and feelings without judgment, you're able to let them go more easily.
Mindfulness is a practice, and it takes time to develop. But it's worth it.
Here are some tips for practicing mindfulness:
Start by setting aside a few minutes each day to practice mindfulness. You can do this in a quiet place, or you can practice mindfulness while you're walking, running, or doing other activities.
Sit comfortably and close your eyes. Take a few deep breaths and focus on your breath.
Notice your thoughts and feelings as they arise. Don't judge them, just observe them.
Let your thoughts and feelings go. Don't dwell on them, just let them pass through your mind.
Bring your attention back to your breath if you find your mind wandering.
Practice mindfulness for a few minutes each day, and gradually increase the amount of time you practice.
