Busy Mama, Stick to it! The Schedule, That Is...

Listen, being a mom? It’s a whole journey. And one thing nobody warned us about was how our brains would flip the script after having kids. Forgetfulness? Check. Brain fog? Double-check. Feeling scatterbrained? Oh, that’s the theme song.

Hormones, sleepless nights, and ALL the things we juggle—it’s no wonder our minds feel like a messy junk drawer some days.

Forgetfulness Is Real

Sis, have you ever been looking for your keys only to find them chilling in the fridge? Or calling your kid the your friend's name for the third time this week? Oh, and don’t get me started on holding your phone while looking for it! Yep, been there too. Forgetfulness after having kids is way too common, thanks to the chaos of sleep deprivation and all the hormonal changes nobody really talks about.

Brain Fog for Days

And then there’s brain fog—that lovely cloud that makes you forget why you walked into the kitchen in the first place. Decisions? Hard. Concentration? What’s that? Brain fog hits like a thief in the night, stealing your focus when you’re just trying to survive the day.

Scatterbrain Syndrome

And let’s talk about that scatterbrained life. You’ve got 1,000 tabs open in your head: “Did I pack lunches? Oh, I need to reply to that email. Wait, are we out of milk?” The mental to-do list is never-ending. Moms are basically walking reminder apps, solving life’s problems on the fly.

But here’s the good news, sis: this too shall pass. Most moms notice that their sharp thinking slowly returns as their babies grow and life settles. So, if you’re feeling overwhelmed, remember—it’s temporary, and you’re doing great.

In the Meantime… Stick to the Schedule!

Let me share a little wisdom: 1 Corinthians 14:40 says, “Let all things be done decently and in order.” And that includes your daily chaos.

Spend time with God and invite Him into your planning. Ask Him to guide you in creating a schedule that actually works—a schedule that helps you breathe and brings some peace into your home.

You got this, sis. Stick to that schedule, lean on God, and know that you’re not alone. Motherhood may be a hot mess sometimes, but with a little order and a lot of grace, we can make it work. 💛
